Starting with the stand, I used 2" square tube fully welded at all seams with a MIG. A 3/16" plate will be welded to the top and bottom shelves and steel wheels welded to the legs to finish it off.
On the left is pieces and parts being made ready for the frame. On right is a mock up of the frame. The sides are 6" I beams at 4' 9" tall. The bottom and top beams are 8" square and about 13" long, making the frame 2' 2" wide. These beams are also reinforced with 3/8" gussets.
Mostly drilling today. It's a new experience trying to put a 1 5/16" hole in 1" thick steel on a 3/4 hp drill press from China. Yep, had to step up holes starting with 1/2". Only 3 or four steps. This'll be the top cylinder mount.
